Matt Fontaine

Matt Fontaine has extensive work experience in the technology and IT operations field. Matt started their career at General Electric in 2006 as part of the Information Management Leadership Program. Matt then took on roles as a Network Engineer and Business Technology Leader before becoming the Global Network/Telecom Team Leader for GE Appliances & Lighting. In this role, they were responsible for designing, building, and managing the LAN, WAN, voice, and video infrastructure for a global network with thousands of devices and multiple contact centers.

In 2012, Matt joined Churchill Downs Incorporated as the Director of Information Technology Infrastructure. Matt was later promoted to Senior Director and then became the VP of IT Operations. In these roles, they led a team of 40+ members and was responsible for delivering projects, managing system and hardware refreshes, and ensuring the smooth operation of Churchill Downs Incorporated and its subsidiaries. Matt was also involved in the design and construction of multiple hotels and hospitality services.
