Joy Ananyi, MBA, is an accomplished data governance and risk management professional with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Data Risk Dashboard and Reporting at CIBC, Joy Ananyi is responsible for identifying and reporting on data risks and overseeing enterprise-wide data governance adherence. Previously, at Manulife, Joy Ananyi played a pivotal role as Senior Manager of Global Data Enablement and Governance, fostering the adoption of data governance best practices across multiple regions. With a background that includes a significant position as Global Data Steward at Sonova Group, and earlier experience at TD and MTN, Joy Ananyi has consistently demonstrated a capability to enhance data quality, drive efficiency gains, and develop strategic initiatives within data management frameworks. Joy Ananyi holds an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University, an MS in Management of Information Technology from the University of Nottingham, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Lagos.
