Qingming Gao

Qingming Gao is a Group Leader in Trait Development at Cibus since May 2018, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at USDA-ARS focusing on sunflower breeding from July 2015 to May 2018, and as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kentucky from July 2012 to June 2015, studying host factor interactions with nitrogen-fixing rhizobial bacteria in soybean nodulation. Qingming Gao earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology, Plant Science, and Plant Physiology from the University of Kentucky (2006-2012), a Master of Science (M.S.) in Microbiology from the Institute of Microbiology, CAS, China (2003-2006), and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Inner Mongolia University (1999-2003).
