Claimed by CNN as an Asian jeweler shaping modern jewellery design today, Cindy Chao has revolutionized the art of contemporary high jewellery creation through her singular, organic and sculptural works. Establishing her eponymous brand CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel in 2004, the jewellery artist has ever since broken boundaries and redefined high jewellery.

CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel has opened its showrooms in Hong Kong and Taipei, run exclusively through private appointment. Its collections have highlighted prestigious auctions including Christie’s and Sotheby’s, and they have also been exhibited at museums and invitation-only events in Dubai, Paris and New York. In 2010, the brand’s Royal Butterfly brooch was inducted into the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History. Cindy Chao is one of the first contemporary jewellery artists to receive such honor. 

In 2020, the brand's “Ruby Butterfly Brooch" was inducted into the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, marking the first time a Taiwanese Jewelry Artist has been inducted into the museum’s acclaimed permanent collection.

Highly sought after by connoisseurs and collectors, the brand offers two collections. The museum-calibre Black Label Masterpieces are the most prestigious and exclusive creations. They are the ultimate expressions of and spiritual devotion to savoir-faire and craftsmanship.
