Thierry Tran

Senior Researcher at CIRAD

Thierry Tran is a Senior Researcher at CIRAD since June 2009, focusing on cassava, tropical starches, and the environmental impacts of agro-industrial value chains. Prior to this role, Thierry Tran worked as a Researcher at BIOTEC in Thailand from March 2005 to February 2010, exploring the properties of modified starches, specialty tropical starches, and bio-composites for the food industry. Thierry Tran also served as a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Nottingham from August 2003 to January 2005, where research centered on improving the shelf-life of bread products. Thierry Tran obtained a PhD in Food Sciences from the University of Nottingham in 2003 and an Ingénieur degree in Chemistry-Biology from ESPCI Paris - PSL in 1999.
