Matthias Probian has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Matthias started their career in the military as an Officer and served in various leadership positions. After their military service, they transitioned to the corporate world and held finance and accounting positions in companies such as IWKA AG and MAG Industrial Automation Systems. Matthias then joined Crane Co. as the Director of Finance for ChemPharma & Energy Central & Eastern Europe. Matthias later worked at Colfax Fluid Handling as the Director of Finance for Europe, Middle East, Africa & India. Currently, they are the Vice President of Finance for the Industrial Group at CIRCOR International, Inc. where they are responsible for driving key business initiatives and leading transformation and post-merger acquisition activities. Matthias has a strong expertise in finance, accounting, and process optimization.

Matthias Probian attended Gymnasium Köln-Weiden from 1973 to 1986, where they obtained their diploma from the German secondary school qualifying for university matriculation (Abitur). Matthias then enrolled at Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg from 1989 to 1990, studying Mechanical Engineering without obtaining a degree. Finally, Matthias pursued a degree in Business Administration and earned a Diplom-Kaufmann (MBA) from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, which they completed in November 1993.
