Circular Berlin
We are a non-profit reshaping Berlin’s metabolism – by developing the local circular economy agenda and its implementation, through research, community-building and practical programmes. Our vision: Resources are sourced locally if possible, used only if truly needed, and their value is maintained as part of a continuous loop ー within the limits of our planet. Waste and pollution are non-existent. People’s lives and jobs positively affect their neighbourhoods and communities. What we do: Knowledge building & practical projects We develop knowledge and practical programs on the circular economy, focusing on food & biomass, textile & fashion, the built environment, materials & products, and city metabolism. Community building We bring together and support Berlin’s circular economy actors, by connecting them through open-source tools and regular events. Education We offer best-in-class training workshops that combine theoretical understanding with practical applications, hands-on activities, and real-world insights.
