Branch Chief, Cybersecurity Shared Services Office at CISA

James (Jim) Sheire has extensive experience in cybersecurity and public policy, currently serving as Branch Chief at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) since June 2019, where direction is provided for the Cybersecurity Quality Services Management Office. Prior to this role, Jim held a position as Senior Advisor to the Federal Chief Information Security Officer at the Executive Office of the President, contributing to federal cybersecurity initiatives. Additional experience includes serving as Division Director at the General Services Administration where oversight of identity assurance policies occurred, and as Senior Advisor at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, managing the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace. Early career experience includes a managerial position at NXP Semiconductors, focusing on government programs related to secure ID initiatives. Jim holds a B.A. in History from Reed College and an M.A. in American Government and Politics from the University of Virginia.
