Pete Owen

Pete Owen serves as a Protective Security Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since May 2019, providing critical infrastructure protection through various assessments, resources, and training. Previously, Pete worked at the US Department of Homeland Security as a Chemical Security Inspector, ensuring compliance with Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards. Additionally, experience includes roles as Regional Chief Instructor at Computing Technologies, Inc. supporting the Marine Corps University, and an extensive career in the US Marine Corps, culminating in positions of Lieutenant Colonel, where responsibilities included training and operational leadership for large units. Educational credentials encompass a PhD in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, a Master of Science in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Bachelor of Science in History from the United States Naval Academy.
