David Gilio

David Gilio is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in sponsor finance and leveraged financing across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director of Sponsor Finance at CIT since April 2023, Gilio previously held the role of SVP of Sponsor Finance at IDB Bank, where leadership was demonstrated in establishing a new group and successfully closing six leveraged transactions. Gilio's prior roles include Managing Director at BNP Paribas, where 25 transactions totaling over $6.75 billion were originated and closed, and Managing Director at Royal Bank of Scotland, instrumental in advancing the M&A Media and Telecom league table position. Additional experience encompasses senior positions at TD Securities, Bank of America, and GE Capital, with a strong educational background that includes an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California and a BS in Accounting and Finance from California State University-Long Beach.
