John Gorst

John Gorst has extensive experience in the rail industry, currently serving as Vice President of Sales for Railcar Leasing at CIT Rail since April 2011, where responsibilities include managing customer relationships across Canada and driving revenue through lease renewals and new clients. Prior to this role, John held various positions at Canadian Pacific Railway from 1999 to 2011, including Director of Marketing, where oversight of marketing strategies and revenue planning for $600 million in annual freight revenue was key. Other notable roles included Manager of Marketing & Yield Strategy, Senior Sales Account Manager, Marketing Manager, and Fleet Manager, all contributing to significant revenue growth and operational optimization. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior Studies and Business Management from the University of Calgary.
