Jack Abernethy

Jack Abernethy began their work experience as a Research Analyst and Grant Writer Intern at the Chicago Infrastructure Trust in February 2015. Jack worked on grant writing for various projects, including Affordable Housing, and took on additional project-based roles such as planning industry forums and mapping crime density. Jack then transitioned to becoming a Web Developer after completing a Dev Bootcamp in March 2015. Jack gained proficiency in web development skills and learned about good git workflow, teamwork, and time management. In 2016, Jack joined Akuna Capital as a Junior Web Developer and later was promoted to a Web Developer role, where they worked until June 2021. Jack then worked as a Software Engineer at Options AI from July 2021 to March 2022. Currently, Jack is employed as a Web Developer at Citadel Securities starting in March 2022.

Jack Abernethy attended Dev Bootcamp from 2015 to 2016, where they studied web development. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 2014 after completing their studies from 2010 onwards.
