William Archbell

William Archbell is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Head of Platform Technology at Citadel Securities since September 2021, following a role as Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. Prior to Citadel, William worked at The Initiative as Technical Director, where the focus was on innovation in game development for Microsoft-backed projects. William's extensive background includes significant positions at Riot Games as Product Engineering Manager for Valorant, where responsibilities included overseeing engineering discipline and managing project transitions, as well as serving as Lead Multiplayer Engineer for Halo 5 at 343 Industries. Earlier experiences encompass roles at Microsoft, where William contributed to Silverlight and Windows Live Messenger, and at HTC, where development of the TouchFLO 3D interface was a key achievement.
