Yiran

Yiran Ma has work experience as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities starting from May 2023. Prior to that, Yiran worked as a Trader at PEAK6 from February 2019 to August 2022. Yiran also had a role as a Desk Strategist at Morgan Stanley from April 2017 to February 2019.

Yiran Ma has a strong educational background with a focus on geophysics, seismology, and financial engineering. From 2010 to 2016, Yiran Ma attended Caltech and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geophysics and Seismology. Following that, from 2016 to 2017, Yiran Ma pursued a Master's Degree at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Financial Engineering.

Before attending Caltech, Yiran Ma completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology/Earth Science, General at Nanjing University from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to these degrees, Yiran Ma has also acquired several certifications. These include a Natural Language Processing Specialization from Coursera, obtained in April 2023, as well as a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera, obtained in January 2019.
