Paolo Cioppa

Paolo Cioppa is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate law. Paulo currently serves as the Director and Associate General Counsel for Global M&A at Citi since April 2022 and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law since 2015. Previously, Paolo held the position of Associate General Counsel and Head of Corporate - Strategic M&A at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. and has held various roles in legal counsel at R3, DLA Piper, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. Paolo's educational background includes an SJD from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, an LL.M in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from the same institution, and a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Università degli Studi di Milano, along with additional coursework in Financial Accounting and Reporting at New York University.
