Christin Evans

Christin Evans is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in business and community leadership. Currently serving as a Homeless Oversight Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco since April 2023, Christin is the Owner of The Booksmith, a prominent independent bookstore in San Francisco, where significant operational improvements and team development have been implemented. Christin also holds the position of Managing Partner at Alembic Bar and serves as President and Board Member of the Haight Ashbury Merchants Association, promoting local merchant cooperation and enhancing the shopping district. Previous roles include ownership at Kepler's Books and board membership with the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association, where leadership in the Tech Committee was showcased. Early career experience includes significant positions at A.T. Kearney, Dell Computer, and Towers Perrin. Christin holds an MBA in Strategy and Marketing from the University of Michigan and a BA in Political Science and International Economics from Vassar College.
