Joshua Oehler

Joshua Oehler is a seasoned professional in community services and public policy, currently serving as a Community Services Specialist III with the City of Berkeley since July 2021. In this role, Joshua manages the planning and reporting for federal funding programs, including the Community Development Block Grant and Emergency Solutions Grant, and ensures compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Previous positions include serving as a Budget and Revenue Analyst for the Office of the Controller in San Francisco and a Senior Analyst at Harvey M. Rose Associates, where Joshua provided fiscal insights for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. With a background in economic policy analysis at Children’s Action Alliance and extensive experience in data analysis and program management, Joshua has consistently advocated for equitable economic policies. Joshua holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Botany.
