Mark Sproat

Mark Sproat currently serves as Vice President of New Mexico Tech Alumni and holds the position of Senior Environmental Health Specialist with the City of Berkeley, where responsibilities include leading the Medical Cannabis Program and overseeing various health inspections. Sproat has extensive experience in environmental health, having previously worked for the Public Health Regional Partnership and the New Mexico Environment Department, where roles included Advanced Air Quality Specialist and Environmental Health Specialist. Additional experience encompasses food safety audits with UL Everclean, enforcement roles at the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and safety management at Mckee Electric Co. A background in research engineering focused on explosive testing complements a solid foundation in carpentry and volunteer firefighting. Sproat earned a degree from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
