Michael L. Spurgeon is an experienced municipal leader with a proven track record in city management and administration. Currently serving as City Manager for the City of Broken Arrow since September 2015, Spurgeon previously held the role of Director of Administration for the City of St. Charles, MO, from December 2007 to September 2015. Spurgeon was the inaugural City Manager for the City of Miami, Oklahoma, from 1998 to 2007, overseeing the transition to a Council-Manager government. Earlier career highlights include serving as Township Business Administrator for the Township of Pemberton and Township Manager for Eastampton Township, NJ. Spurgeon also has a military background with service in the US Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University - Camden and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Thomas Edison State University.
