Alecia Peters

Alecia Peters is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business strategy, economic development, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Manager of Downtown Business Strategy for the City of Calgary, Alecia leads initiatives aimed at revitalizing downtown Calgary into a vibrant, people-centered district. Alecia also contributes as a Board Member at the Centre for Sexuality and as a member of Women at the Cap Table, focusing on investment in value-driven startups. Previous roles include Executive Director at Digital Alberta, Director of Innovation at Calgary Economic Development, and various managerial positions emphasizing enterprise development and business attraction within the energy sector. Alecia holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Calgary and has pursued studies in Mass Communications at Boston University.
