Markell Storay

Markell Storay is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience in both public and private sectors, currently serving as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Innovation and Technology for the City of Charlotte from January 2022 to November 2024. With a robust background in IT strategy, supervisory roles, and innovative technology implementation, Markell has held several key positions, including Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officer at the City of Charlotte, as well as various managerial roles at companies such as Wells Fargo, the General Services Administration, Sprint, and WorldCom. Markell holds a certification in Artificial Intelligence from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) certificate from the UNC School of Government.
