Earlier in the career, Iscander worked as an Electrical Supervisor at Empire Electric M & S between February 2002 and August 2008. Educational background includes a degree as an Electronic Technician and Computer Programmer from Instituto Politecnico Electronica in Santiago de Cuba, completed between 1990 and 1994, and further studies at Universidad de Oriente from 1996 to 1999.
