Angela Alton, MPA, CIPP/US, CHPC, CHC, currently serves as a Committee Member and member of the Subcommittee on Privacy, Confidentiality and Security for the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics since May 2023. Angela holds the position of Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer at City of Hope and serves as a faculty member for the Health Care Compliance Association Privacy Academy. Previously, Angela was the Vice President and Privacy Officer at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital and held multiple roles related to privacy at Sutter Health and Stanford University Medical Center. Angela's career in privacy and compliance began at the County of San Mateo, where responsibilities included managing privacy complaints and leading clinical trials operations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from California State University - East Bay and ongoing studies in Cybersecurity and Privacy Law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. An undergraduate degree in Social Welfare was obtained from the University of California, Berkeley.
