Mike Stone

Mike Stone has extensive experience in fire service and coaching. Currently serving as Deputy Chief of Operations for the City of Lawrence Fire Department since February 2012, responsibilities include overseeing Fire and Special Operations training and SCBA maintenance and repair. Mike also has a long-standing position as a Firefighter with the same department since August 1995. Beyond firefighting, Mike served as an Amateur Boxing Coach for USA Boxing, Inc. from 2006 to 2013, with fighters achieving multiple championship titles. Mike's military background includes service as a Marine and Radio Operator in the United States Marine Corps from September 1991 to December 1994. Educational accomplishments include training at the National Fire Academy with degrees in Command and Control of Incident Operations and Training Program Management, along with studies at the University of Hawaii-West Oahu and Hauser High School.
