Shawn O. is an experienced engineering and environmental professional currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Environment for the City of Leduc since February 2015. In this role, Shawn O. manages diverse portfolios including the city's capital programs for road, water, wastewater, storm water, and environmental initiatives. Additionally, Shawn O. has taken on the position of Acting General Manager of Infrastructure and Planning, overseeing various departments during a recruitment phase for a new City Manager. Shawn O. also serves as the Commission Manager for the Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission, responsible for delivering potable water to seven member municipalities. Prior experience includes roles as Capital Project Manager for Strathcona County, Water Resources Engineer at AECOM, and Project Manager & Environmental Manager at Weyerhaeuser. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Alberta and a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration.
