Demetrius "Pete" Allen has extensive experience in athletics and recreation, currently serving as the Division Head of Athletics, Fitness Facilities, and Special Services for The City of Norfolk since August 2011, while also holding the position of Senior Recreation Supervisor II Athletics. In addition, Demetrius founded and acts as Executive Director of the Y.A.R.D.S. Foundation since January 2008. Previously, Demetrius worked at Suffolk Public School from August 2005 to August 2008 as a Teacher, specifically teaching 8th grade World Geography, and served as the Athletic Director and Assistant Head Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator. Demetrius graduated from the University of Virginia between 1992 and 1996.
