Walter Widish

Walter Widish M.S. is an experienced Infrastructure System Engineer and Information Security Consultant with a robust background in cybersecurity and IT. Since January 2001, Walter has worked for the City of San Antonio in various roles, including Systems Administrator and Sr. Management Analyst. Between February 2021 and the present, Walter has also provided services as an Information Security Consultant for US Government Agencies. Prior experience includes operating as a Cyber SOC Analyst and independent contractor, along with ownership of Calchas of San Antonio, delivering cybersecurity solutions for small healthcare organizations. Walter's career includes significant IT leadership roles, such as IT Director at Global Communications, with responsibilities spanning technical support and system administration. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism, an MS in Computer Information Systems, and a BA in the same field. Walter is currently enhancing language skills through private lessons in Chinese and ongoing studies in Korean.
