Amber Shah, P.E., QSP/QSD has extensive experience in civil engineering and related roles. Amber currently holds the position of Parks & Public Works Director/City Engineer at the City of San Marino, starting in December 2022. Prior to this, Amber worked at the CITY OF LAGUNA HILLS, where they held multiple roles including Assistant City Engineer, Acting Public Services Director/City Engineer, and Associate Civil Engineer from 2016 to 2022. Amber also gained experience as a Resident Engineer at ARCADIS from 2012 to 2016, and at CH2M HILL from 2006 to 2012. Earlier in their career, Amber worked as an Engineer at Hunsaker & Associates and as a Project Engineer at Giffels-Webster Engineers. Amber began their career as a Staff Engineer at Soil and Materials Engineers, Inc. Amber's expertise and diverse experience make their a valuable asset in the field of civil engineering.
Amber Shah, P.E., QSP/QSD, completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Lawrence Technological University between 1997 and 2003.
Additionally, they obtained the Professional Engineer certification from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in December 2012. Amber also obtained the certifications of Qualified SWPPP Developer and Qualified SWPPP Practitioner from the California Stormwater Quality Association in December 2013.
