Michael Richards

Michael Richards is an accomplished finance and administration professional with extensive experience in procurement and contract management. Since December 2013, Michael has served as the Director of Finance and Administration for the City of Somerville's Department of Infrastructure and Asset Management, overseeing procurement processes, streamlining operations, and managing a team. Previously, Michael held several roles, including Procurement Analyst, where responsibilities included managing procurement for multiple departments and improving purchasing policies. Earlier experience includes an internship at the Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General, where Michael contributed to financial investigations, and various roles in political organizations, demonstrating strong skills in research and project management. Michael holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
