Marty Rider is a firefighter/paramedic with extensive experience in the field. Marty started as an EMT with South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue/Cal Tahoe JPA, then moved on to work as a firefighter/paramedic with El Dorado County Fire District, and currently with the City of South Lake Tahoe. Prior to working in firefighting, Marty served in the US Navy as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, where Marty was a Senior Line Corpsman for the 3rd Battalion 5th Marines Scout Sniper Platoon and also served as a Tactical Combat Casualty Care Instructor. Marty obtained a degree in Fire Academy from Lake Tahoe Community College.
