These services include police; parks; water, sewer and storm utilities; cemetery; planning; permits; finance and administration.  

Sumner, known as the Rhubarb Pie Capital of the World, is a city of 9,400 residents and over 10,000 jobs.  The community feels like home with a classic Main Street, numerous parades, high school located in the center of town, and the largest YMCA in the State of Washington, built in 2015.  This is where local gossip is served up along with your lunch; where citizens are highly involved in making the community better; and where the marching band practices through the streets on weeknights.
