Ann Chanecka

Ann Chanecka, AICP, currently serves as the Director of Housing and Community Development for the City of Tucson, a position held since September 2012, where responsibilities have included overseeing the $225 million Tucson Delivers Great Parks and Strong Connections bond program, among other duties. Prior to this role, Ann was the Deputy Director in the same department and worked on special projects within the City Manager's Office. Previous experience includes serving as a Transportation Program Coordinator with the Pima Association of Governments and as a Senior Transportation Planner. Ann's professional journey began as a Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration focused on Non-Profit and Local Government Management from the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland.
