Lena Porell

Lena Porell, AICP, currently serves as a Lead Planner in Housing and Community Development at the City of Tucson, where involvement includes strategic planning and community engagement. Prior roles include Lead Planner in Long-Range Planning at the City of Tucson, Staff Planner with Horsley Witten Group, Inc., and Youth/Stewardship Coordinator at Ironwood Tree Experience. Additionally, Porell has experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Arizona and an Urban Planning Intern with the City of Tucson. Earlier, Porell taught English as a Second Language and held an internship in Intergovernmental and External Affairs with the Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from American University, complemented by a study period at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
