Matt Danaher has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. Matt started their career at Aer Lingus in 1990, where they worked as a ticket office/sales support until 1995. Matt then joined SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) as a Duty Station Manager, where they stayed for 17 years until 2012. In 2012, they joined CityJet as a Station Manager for Ireland. Matt later took on roles as the Head of Ground Operations, Nominated Person, and Head of Ground Operations, Security and Emergency Response Planning.
Matt Danaher attended Technological University Dublin from 1987 to 1989, where they pursued a Higher Diploma in Travel and Tourism. Matt'sfield of study was focused on Tourism and Travel Services Management.
CityJet
CityJet is Europe’s leading regional airline based in Dublin, Ireland, operating a fleet of Bombardier aircraft on wet lease and charter services across Europe. Established by entrepreneur Pat Byrne in 1993, CityJet pioneered services between Dublin and London City Airport in January 1994 under a franchise agreement with Virgin Atlantic Airways. CityJet formed a partnership with Air France in 1996, which eventually transferred into Air France ownership in 2000. Much of CityJet services were then operated under the Air France brand. CityJet continued to develop its role as a key airline in the London City market in addition to growing its network connecting European cities to the Air France hub in Paris. CityJet has continued to undergo significant advancement since and now focuses its activity on wet lease and charter services. It operates a modern fleet of Bombardier CRJ900 passenger aircraft on behalf of SAS Scandinavian Airlines from its crew base in Copenhagen and also on charter services.
