Deborah Spanic

Deborah Spanic currently serves as the VP and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Clarios, where leadership of the Ethics & Compliance team and support for geographic program leaders and subject matter experts are primary responsibilities. Previously, Deborah held the position of Legal Director - Global Compliance at Johnson Controls, managing compliance programs and risk assessments. Deborah's experience includes roles as Group Legal Counsel, attorney at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., and Counsel for Intellectual Property at Briggs & Stratton. Additionally, Deborah was a 2018 LCLD Fellow and contributed to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity while also having marketing and internet development management experience at Northwestern Mutual Life. Deborah holds a JD from Marquette University Law School and a BA with Honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional credential.
