Nate Jensen has a diverse work experience in the legal field. “Nate began their career as an Attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP from 2000 to 2004. Later, they joined Morrison & Foerster LLP as Of Counsel, where they represented technology and life sciences companies in various legal matters including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance, and licensing. In 2011, Nate became the Vice President and General Counsel at Clean Energy Fuels, where they oversaw all legal matters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and corporate governance. “Nate then advanced to the role of Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President at Clean Energy Fuels, where they provided senior management and implemented strategic initiatives for the company's renewable fuels business. Their responsibilities included joint ventures, upstream renewable fuel investments, and overseeing all legal matters. Nate's extensive experience also includes advising public companies, equity and debt financing transactions, project finance, and contract negotiations, particularly in the context of renewable energy and clean fuel regulations. Nate held this position until at least February 2020.
Nate Jensen completed their Bachelor's degree in History from Brigham Young University from 1994 to 1997. “Nate then pursued a Juris Doctor degree from BYU Law School, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000. Additionally, Nate Jensen obtained a certification in Corporate Finance from Berkeley Law Executive Education in September 2021.
