Sonia Hegarty

Sonia Hegarty is a seasoned communications professional with a robust background in environmental management and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Officer at the Clean Energy Regulator since November 2023, Sonia brings extensive experience from previous roles, including Senior Stakeholder Solutions Advisor at the Environment Protection Authority Victoria from May 2017 to December 2021, and Project Manager at EPA Victoria from May 2008 to April 2017. Additional consultancy experience includes positions at DFP and Oak Associates, as well as communications roles at Bloomberg LP, MCI Worldcom, and sales experience at Harrods. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Management from London Metropolitan University, completed between 1997 and 2000.
