Corneels de Waard is a seasoned energy market professional currently serving as a Senior Trader for Physical Energy at CleanCo Queensland since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Spot Trader and Forward Trader at InterGen, where responsibilities included optimising the value of physical generation assets and executing forward trades within the National Electricity Market (NEM). Corneels has also contributed to the energy sector as a Completions Engineer at Santos Ltd and co-founded Endla, developing innovative software solutions for the coal seam gas industry. Additional experience includes a position as an Undergraduate Reliability Engineer at Airbus in Australia Pacific and foundational work in sales and tech support at Telstra. Corneels holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from The University of Queensland.
