Brett Naiden has extensive work experience in the field of risk and compliance. Brett began their career in 1994 as a Senior Auditor at TD Canada Trust Bank. In 1997, they moved to TELUS as a Senior Corporate Auditor. In 1998, they took on the role of Director, Financial Compliance at Encana Corporation. In 1999, they became the Head of Internal Audit & Governance at Alliance Pipeline. In 2020, they were appointed Head of Risk and Controls at Tervita Corporation. Most recently, in 2021, they joined GRIN Consulting as a Risk Professional. Brett is currently employed as the Senior Director of Operations at CleanO2 Carbon Capture Technologies.
Brett Naiden obtained their MBA from Athabasca University between 2000 and 2002, majoring in Business. Brett also obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary between 1984 and 1987. In addition, they hold certifications in Control Self-Assessment (CCISO) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
