Tom Mao is an experienced financial professional specializing in software investment and equity research. Currently serving as an Analyst at ClearBridge Investments since May 2023, Tom previously held analyst positions at Moore Capital Management, focusing on long/short equity investing in technology, and at ISI Group and Morgan Stanley, where responsibilities included software equity research. Prior experience includes a role as an Equity Derivatives Trader at Goldman Sachs and a leadership position as President of the Berkeley Finance Club. Tom's early career also featured an internship at a Sequoia Funded Startup and serving as Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Berkeley Web Development. Tom holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
