James Arnold has held a variety of roles since 2006, beginning with a Customer Service Assistant at Argos. In 2008, they became a Pensions Reviewer at Skandia plc, followed by a Customer Service Administrator at Skandia in 2011. In 2010, they held a Co-Worker position at IKEA and in 2013, they were a Work Experience at Plant Asset Management (Petrofac). That same year, they were an NVH Engineer at Ford Motor Company. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Testing Consultant and Researcher PhD Student and Testing Consultant at the University of Southampton. In 2020, they were a Project Engineer at Mabey Hire Ltd, and currently holds the roles of Engineer I - Software and Systems Test and Systems Test Engineer at ClearMotion.
James Arnold attended Bellemoor Boys Secondary School from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained their GCSE in Engineering, Science, English Language, English Literature, Maths, German, Religious Studies, and Music. James then attended Tauntons College from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained their A2, BTEC, and AS in Maths, Music Technology, Music Performance, and Physics. From 2008 to 2011, they attended Solent University, where they obtained their BSc in Sound Engineering. James then attended University of Southampton from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Sound and Vibrations. Finally, they attended University of Southampton from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering.
