Laura Maylene Walter is an accomplished writer and editor with extensive experience in literary and educational settings. Currently serving as the Ohio Center for the Book Fellow and Writer and Editor at the Cleveland Public Library since June 2016, Laura is responsible for creating annual reports and various publications, as well as managing production processes. Laura also holds the position of Editor In Chief at Gordon Square Review, an international online literary journal, since May 2017. Previously, Laura was the Fiction Editor at Mid-American Review from July 2014 to August 2015, overseeing fiction submissions and coordinating workshops. With a background in teaching creative writing and general writing at Bowling Green State University and a senior editorial role at Penton Media, Laura possesses a robust academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Washington College and a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from Bowling Green State University.
