Aleksandar Marijan

Aleksandar Marijan serves as the Director of Safety Support at Cleveland-Cliffs since August 2023, overseeing safety leadership for nine plants within the company's footprint. Previously, Aleksandar held various senior management roles at United States Steel Corporation from May 2018 to August 2023, including Senior Manager of Safety for Big River Steel and Corporate Senior Manager of Safety and Security. At Owens Corning, from December 2015 to May 2018, Aleksandar acted as Regional EHS Leader for Roofing and Asphalt, providing EHS support across multiple plants. Aleksandar's career at United States Steel Corporation began in 2005 and included positions such as Manager of Safety and IH Department at USS Gary Works and Safety Engineer. In addition to a degree from University Megatrend Belgrade, Aleksandar is a State Certified Safety and Health Professional and holds qualifications in Radiation Control and Firefighting Engineering.
