Angelo Vargas

Angelo Vargas is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as the Head of Sorbent Industrialization at Climeworks since January 2017. Prior to this role, Vargas held the position of Head of QC & Analytics at Rolic Technologies from October 2013 to July 2016 and the title of Head of Materials Investigation and Testing at BASF from September 2010 to September 2013. Vargas began an academic career as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zürich from July 2004 to June 2010. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from ETH Zürich and fellowships at the University of Zurich and the University of Lausanne, as well as a degree in Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Firenze, complemented by an exchange program at The University of Göttingen.
