Cornelius Gropp has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, currently serving as Senior Manager of Sorbent Synthesis at Climeworks since November 2021, following a progression through various senior development chemist roles within the same company. Prior to this, Cornelius was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, and completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry at ETH Zurich. Additional experience includes a recent graduate internship in small molecule drug discovery at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, and participation in a community service program in Germany. Cornelius holds multiple degrees in chemistry, including a Master of Science from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor of Science from both Heidelberg University and École Polytechnique.
