Douglas Chan

Douglas Chan is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in operations and engineering roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Climeworks since September 2022, Douglas focuses on carbon dioxide removal technologies. Prior to this, Douglas held several significant positions at Tesla, including Director and Senior Manager, from February 2017 to September 2022. Previous experience includes serving as a Field Service Representative at Solar Turbines Australia and a Rotating Equipment Engineer at ExxonMobil. Douglas has also contributed to manufacturing and engineering projects in organizations such as NUMMI and Vision BioSystems. Academically, Douglas holds a Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Southern California, as well as multiple degrees from the University of Melbourne in Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry, and additional studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
