Stefan Schenk

Stefan Schenk is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in direct air capture (DAC) technology. Since joining Climeworks in October 2014, Stefan has held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President Testing, Head of Testing, and Testing Manager, overseeing all testing activities and managing the execution of new and specialized DAC Test Facilities. Prior experience includes work as a Test Engineer and Mechanic, where Stefan focused on R&D testing, plant optimizations, and the design and construction of DAC Demonstration Plants. Prior to Climeworks, Stefan worked at MAN Diesel & Turbo from August 2008 to July 2014, where responsibilities included construction and test monitoring of compressors. Stefan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a CAS in Product Innovation and Leadership for Engineers from ZHAW School of Engineering, along with a Diploma of Education from Berufsbildungsschule Winterthur BBW.
