Bill Chen has worked in the software engineering industry since 1998. At Fujian Start Group Co. Ltd., they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer from 1998 to 2007. During this time, they completed a Portable MP3 Player firmware independently and was the team leader for a Portable Hard Disk Video Player System Software Development project. From 2007 to 2012, they were a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Fujian Star-Net Communication Co., Ltd., where they modified kernel drivers/HALs for hardware changes and customized Android frameworks. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Media Developer at Cloud9 (part of Symphony), where they are responsible for WebRTC stack maintenance and ReSIProcate SIP stack maintenance.
Bill Chen obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Zhejiang University between 1994 and 1998.
