Chaz Lowe is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in leading development teams and managing complex projects. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Team Lead at BigCommerce since April 2018, Chaz has effectively guided junior engineers and overseen various teamwork processes, including Scrum practices. Previously, as a Senior Software Engineer at BigCommerce, Chaz developed a foundational NextJS/Node application for app developers, implementing best practices in development. Chaz's career began with roles at MeetMe, LLC, UC Berkeley, Riverbed Technology, and CAHCC, where significant expertise was acquired in web development and IT administration. Chaz co-founded a nonprofit organization, Yes! on Equality, dedicated to advancing LGBT rights in California. Chaz holds a degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis, and has additional educational experiences from the University of Melbourne and Folsom Lake College.
