Mr. Amit Ranade joined Catamaran in 2020 and leads investments across the firm. He has over eighteen years of experience in India and the US, across private equity, M&A and investment banking.
Prior to Catamaran, Amit worked at Investcorp Group focusing on originating and evaluating investments, and managing existing portfolio. Previously he was with WestBridge Capital Partners and was one of the early members of the private equity team at Premji Invest. He started his career in Investment Banking with US offices of Wachovia Securities and had stints at Thomas Weisel Partners and BlackRock.
Amit has a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, USA and Bachelors / Masters in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He lives in Bangalore with his wife and son.

Prione helps small and medium businesses (SMBs) to benefit from the fast-growing digital commerce through awareness creation, training, consulting and value-added services such as catalogue creation and the use of online tools.
